The noticeboard just learned to answer back.

When someone around here asks their AI assistant to find a plumber, a sparky or someone to mow the lawns — Callout is where it actually books one. Local businesses, listed once, booked by the AI tools people already use every day.

Here's what happened last Tuesday.

Someone in Tahunanui woke up to no hot water. Instead of ringing around, they asked their AI assistant to sort it. This is that conversation:

● LIVE ON THE NETWORK

Replayed against the live network — real businesses, real prices. Try it yourself, no account needed →

How it works — the whole thing.

1

List your business

Two minutes: what you do, rough prices, when you work, your mobile.

2

AIs find & book you

When someone's assistant needs your trade around here, you're the one it can actually book — not just a number it can't ring.

3

You tap yes

Every job lands as a text with the details filled in — who, where, what, when. Confirm or decline in one tap, between jobs, on smoko, whenever.

What it costs.

Getting listed is free, forever. Getting bookable — where AIs can actually place jobs with you — is free until your first confirmed job comes through. No exceptions, for anyone. Never get a job? Never pay a dollar.

Put my business on the board

Takes two minutes. No card needed to get listed. Founding pricing ends in 42 days.

Fair questions.

What's the catch?

There isn't one. Listing is free forever. The paid tier costs nothing until an actual confirmed job comes through it — if that never happens, you never pay. We only make money when you make money.

What if there's already a plumber on the board?

Good — that's how it's meant to work. Jobs go to whoever's actually available: if a business is flat out, away, or just doesn't answer, the job automatically moves on to the next local within minutes. Declining a job when you're busy never counts against you, and when you're quiet, you catch what others can't take. The one early-bird edge: founding members keep priority placement in search — first among equals, for life.

Do I need to learn new software?

No. Jobs arrive as a normal text message with a confirm and a decline link. If you can reply to a text, you can run Callout. There's a simple dashboard if you ever want it — most days you won't need to open it.

What if this AI stuff never takes off around here?

Then you've got a free listing, a tidy public page, and structured job requests from the website instead of missed calls — and you've paid nothing. Worst case costs you two minutes. Best case, you're the first name every AI in the region knows.

The big AI companies have already laid the rails — 50 million shopping queries hit AI assistants every day, and the booking protocols shipped last year. Someone's going to put the top of the south on them. We reckon it should be us — the people who live here.
